Abstract

The core of the debates about Christian Kracht always revolves around the question
of whether the author ironically exhibits the often problematic world views adopted
in his texts or whether he affirms them uncritically, perhaps even in a sly manner.
This essay would like to suggest that the question be clarified with the help of a
basic textual critique.
